Noted For: college basketball coach; United States Military Academy ("Army", 1963-71), Indiana University (1971-2000), Texas Tech University (2001-08). Won three NCAA season championships. Arrested for assaulting a police officer (1979), suspended for throwing a chair across a basketball court during a game (1985), and fired from Indiana for grabbing a student (2000). Inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame (1991).
