Noted For: major league outfielder (1956-63, four teams) and manager Kansas City Royals (1975-79), St. Louis Cardinals (1980-90), two other teams (1973-74). Under his management, the Cardinals won three league championships and one World Series (1982). National League Manager of the Year (1985). Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame (2010).
