Steve Fossett, millionaire adventurer, in a private plane crash, 63. He went missing on 3 September 2007. After search efforts failed to find him, he was declared legally dead on 15 February 2008. His plane's remains were found on 29 September and his remains were found on 29 October.
Janis Martin, rockabilly singer ("Will You Willyum"), of cancer, 67.
Steve Ryan, actor (Secretary Hutchinson on "The West Wing"), after a long illness, 55.
