icon Living Best Actor and Best Actress Oscar Winners

Every year since 1927, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has issued awards, called Oscars, to recognize excellence in film. The highest honor an actor or actress can receive is the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role or Best Actress in a Leading Role. Only one of each award is presented every year.
